Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat has asked related unit to check the function of the Waduk Melati Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM), Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

Formerly, the building was planned to be transformed into a center of Indonesian coffee, but now turned into an office.

"In era of Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo, the development was to promote Indonesia potential, for coffee center, but why it has been made as the office," he expressed, during executive meeting, Monday (7/18).

He assessed it is very disappointing, considering the building management was a third party. They are deemed renting the office land that is now quite numerous.

"Our mission to develop domestic products is not achieved, so the cooperation should be evaluated, it's supposed to be used for UMKM," he stressed.

Additionally, the party that built the building will be sanctioned. Its development was supposedly done last year, instead of this year.

"This is called as a breach of contract, they must get sanction. Surely they have violated the procedures," he closed.
