9,000 Janitors Still Unable to Keep Jakarta Clean

Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) will re-record total janitors in the city. Based on Cleanliness Dept. report, there are total 8,000 to 9,000 janitors. Jakarta vice Governor, Basuki Tjahaya Purnama was doubtful about the number. Because, some city corners still seems dirty and remain trash piles.

"Their honor is paid through DKI Bank, but January and February payment was borrowed from a company because of city budget late to disburse. Each of them is holding ATM card, no cash anymore," Basuki added.
However, the janitor wage payment is still uncompleted, such as in North Jakarta. The payment is inline with the janitor number checking. "Don't be lazy to sign an account at DKI Bank. Payment through ATM is lately conducted next month," Basuki asserted.
