3,517 CCTVs Have Been Installed

As many as 3,517 closed circuit television (CCTV)s have been installed in the capital. It is targeted to install 5,518 CCTVs by the end of this year.

Jakarta Head Dept. of Informatics, Communication and Public Relation, Dian Ekowati, said her side keeps monitoring the installation by four providers.

City Extends Target of 6,000 CCTVs InstallationAs many as 2,832 CCTVs have been integrated to Jakarta Smart City. At ring 1 area, 176 spots have been installed with CCTV, and 133 of them are connected with City Police.
“The remaining spots are being worked,” she added.
According to her, there is problem regarding camera procurement from the provider.
Her side has given warning letter to the providers because of failed to install 6,000 CCTVs in June. Only two providers are ready to continue the project.
“We have cooperated with BPTSP and Law Bureau about rejecting the other two providers,” she closed.
