4,000 Joint Personnel Held Security Ceremony for Pilkada

4,000 joint personnel of Army, Police and Satpol PP held a security ceremony for 2017 Pilkada. Later on, there will be 101 regions that conduct elections simultaneously.

National Police Chief, Tito Karnavian disclosed the ceremony is to check the security readiness during elections simultaneously. Moreover, it is already entered the campaign period. 

"We agreed to hold a ceremony along with army and police. It is to check the security final for elections simultaneously," he stated, at Silang Monas, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (11/2).

City Campaigning Slogan for Pilkada

He added the number of personnel who join the ceremony is 4,000 people. "Actually many who want to participate such as mass organizations and community protection (linmas), but we postpone it first," he told.

The ceremony is also simultaneously held throughout Indonesia. Particularly for regions that hold simultaneous elections. "There are 101 regions that hold the simultaneous elections. By doing so, it ensures security goes well," he expressed.

In that occasion, it is attended by Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo; Jakarta Acting Governor Sumarsono; Polda Metro Jaya Chief Insp. Gen. M Iriawan; Kodam Jakarta Chief of Staff Brig. Gen. Teddy Laksmana and City Council Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi.
