Bekasi City Administration requested a flat tower construction around Bantar Gebang Landfill area, from Jakarta Provincial Government.

Bekasi City Mayor, Rahmat Effendi disclosed his party along with Jakarta government have made a deal regarding management of Bantar Gebang Landfill, such as provision of worship place, health, and education for citizens.

"We also requested the flat construction from Mr. Governor, which was formerly just an idea," he stated, at Bantar Gebang Landfill, Bekasi, Tuesday (11/8). 

He was also willing to provide a land for the flat. But the construction is handed over to Jakarta government. "Later, it would be made in MoU with City, I will provide the empty land for its construction," he told.

As planned, the flat will be dedicated to citizens around Bantar Gebang. They do not need to pay a rental cost, because it will be subsidized. "You do not need to pay rental cost, we will cover it," he finished.
