October, Tourist Visits to Jakarta Increased 3.46 Percent

Jakarta Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the number of foreign tourist visits in the capital through Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport and Tanjung Priok Harbor along October 2016 is reaching 243,007 visits.

If it is compared to the same month the previous year, it is increasing 19.45 percent

The number of visit has increased 3.46 percent if it is compared to September 2016, which were 234,887 visits.

"If it is compared to the same month the previous year, it is increasing 19.45 percent," said Dody Rudyanto, Head of Distribution Statistics Section for Jakarta BPS, Thursday (12/1).

Foreign Tourist Visit to Jakarta Dominated by 10 Countries

He mentions, along this period, the highest number of tourist visits is from 10 countries, with details Chinese 29,967 visits, Malaysia 25,307 visits, Japan 17,564 visits, Singapore 16,758 visits, Saudi Arabia 10,351 visits, South Korea 9,390 visits, India 8,240 visits, United State 7,873 visits, Dutch 7,836 visits and Australia 6,406 visits.

"The star-hotel occupancy rate (TPK) in October 2016 is reaching 69.89 percent. The number increasing 11.58 points than TPK in September 2016, which are 58.31 percent," he finished.
