9,276 Tourists Thronged Seribu Islands During Imlek Holidays

It has been noted that 9,276 tourists have visited Seribu Islands during Imlek or Chinese New Year, Friday (2/16) up to Sunday (2/18). They visited resort islands and recreational sites.

From five gates, this port is most visited to reach thousands of people along Friday and Saturday

"During long holiday of Imlek, the number of visitors in Seribu Islands reached 9,276 tourists," said Cucu Kurnia, Head of Seribu Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-dept., Monday (2/19).

From that number, 8,549 people are local tourists and 727 other people are foreign tourists. Most of them visited island settlements, such as Tidung Island, Pramuka Island, Harapan Island, Pari Island and Untung Jawa Island.

"Some are also on vacation to the resort island and cultural heritage site," he expressed.

He added, departure and return of the tourist is mostly done at Kali Adem Port, Muara Angke, North Jakarta.

"From five gates, this port is most visited to reach thousands of people along Friday and Saturday," he stated.
