Lodging Rent in Seribu Islands Increased 20 Percent

Head of Seribu Islands Tourism Association, Micky Musleh explained that the lodging fee in Seribu Islands increased from the range of Rp 280,000-Rp 350,000 per night to Rp 336,000-Rp 420,000 per night.

The price increase, he said, would apply for ten days or until August 6 as tourists commonly visit from -1 day before Eid ul Fitr until +4 days after and he predicted crowd in passenger number in Muara Angke Port, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, would begin on Sunday (8/27).
He expressed that visitor candidates not having afforded lodgings would be listed in waiting list by the lodging provider. The lodging provider will contact visitor candidates in waiting list if there is reserved lodgings being cancelled by any booking visitors.
Head of Seribu Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-Department, Suwarto said that his party has coordinated with public boat providers to deploy their boats to anticipate over crowded passengers.
According to him, 30 boats with a capacity of 30-50 passengers have been standby to accommodate passengers in Muara Angke Port.
He added that tourists can also accommodate speedboats provided by Jakarta Transportation Department from Kali Adem Dock, Muara Angke. "Two alternatives of transport to reach Seribu Islands can be accessed from Muara Angke Port and Kali Adem Dock," he uttered.
