Anies Rides MRT Trains from Lebak Bulus towards HI

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan took his time to ride the mass rapid transit (MRT) trains from Lebak Bulus Station towards HI Roundabout Station during the system acceptance test.

Thank God, our travel is smooth

Based on beritajakarta.id, prior to departure, he firstly went to the Lebak Bulus MRT depot, as well as the locomotives and the train cars that will be used during the trial.

He started his travel from Lebak Bulus Station at 8.35 AM and arrived at HI Roundabout Station at 9.25 AM. There were also seen Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia, Mashafumi Ishiie, PT MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar, and Jakarta Transportation Department Head, Andri Yansyah.

Four MRT Trains Arrived at Tanjung Priok Port

"Thank God, our travel is smooth. Many tools are installed to test the MRT trains in accordance to requirements, and technical safety," he expressed, Thursday (8/23).

He explained that the train was only operated at speeds of 20 kilometers per hour.

"I give my appreciation to all parties involved. This is a big job, hopefully it will be able to operate at an affordable cost to the public by March 2019," he uttered.

As for the information, there are six trains cars imported from Japan. Even, PT MRT Jakarta will bring in 16 train cars in the near future.
