Eid ul Fitr brings blessings to toys sellers in Gembrong Market, Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. Their income is skyrocketing than normal days since these two days of Eid celebrations.

“My daily income is usually reaching Rp 10 million. But until this second day of Eid, I could reap income more than Rp 15 million. The most selling are remote control cars, gun toys, gameboy, and dolls,” said Adam (36), one of car toys sellers in Gembrong Market, Wednesday (7/30).

The price of toys sold is varied. A remote control car is priced Rp 250 thousand until Rp 700 thousand, while gun toys price ranges from Rp 40 thousand until Rp 300 thousand.

“Not bad, my regular income of Rp 10-11 million can reach Rp 18 million in this Eid day. I added more stocks so I won’t have shortage,” expressed Wahyuni, a dolls seller.

Meanwhile, Wawan (38), Cipinang Muara resident met in Gembrong Market with his wife and two daughters, admitted deliberately came to the market to buy toys. According to him, Gembrong Market has a wide range of choices of toys in affordable prices.

“Shopping in here is cheap and the price can be bargained. But, it is hot because of the crowds,” he told.
