Avoid Collision with Kopaja, TransJakarta Bus Hit Road Median“I confirmed that the (TransJakarta) bus was in good condition, including its brake. The bus just underwent worthy test and declared passed the test,” asserted Jumadi.
Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Metro Resort Police Traffic Unit Chief AKBP Sakat explained that the accident happened because the Kopami bus was trespassing red light at Pintu Besi Gunung Sahari intersection and the TransJakarta bus was coincidentally passing. As a result, collision could not be avoided.
“The Kopami bus was coming from the west on Jalan Saman Hudi, about to turn right to Senen Market. Based on the information, the driver was trespassing red light which led to the accident. Since this accident involved TransJakarta bus, we handed out the case to the City Police,” he stated.
