Public involvement in city development is also important

Jakarta Land Spatial Planning and Build Work (CKTRP) Department holds discussion forum with theme Trend Market Property. This theme is chosen to know potential changes in city in the next few years. Moreover, CKTRP Department invites stakeholders and citizens from academics, city planning experts, and entrepreneurs to be involved in this discussion forum.

Acting Jakarta CKTRP Department Head (Plt), Heru Hermawanto expects this discussion which is done with collaborative approach to give more ideas and inputs from citizens for Jakarta developments.

"Trend market property is not only related with occupancy rate, but also customer purchasing power and infrastructure availability in accordance with regional characteristics," he stated at CKTRP Department Office, Kompleks Dinas Teknis, Jatibaru, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (3/20).

In this discussion forum, his side highlights important points for government to review and revise Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 1/2014 about Detailed Spatial Plans and Zoning Regulations thus it can fully support the city development.

"Public involvement in city development is also important. It can be done through monitoring and supervising the implementation of the detailed spatial plans," he conveyed.
