Thousand Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-Agency Head, Cucu Ahmad Kurnia has noted that 15,308 tourists packed Untung Jawa Island, South Thousand Islands from May 31-June 6 during Eid holiday.

Most just visit and don't stay overnight, as the distance towards Untung Jawa Island is very close

"This number has been recorded since Thursday (6/6) until Sunday (6/9).

Seeing this, he wants residents and tourists to maintain facilities and cleanliness for the convenience of tourism.

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supriyadi explained that most tourists were from Tangerang, Banten, which departed from Rasawaban and Tanjung Pasir piers.

"Most of them just visit and did n't stay overnight, as the distance towards Untung Jawa Island is very close," he expressed, Tuesday (6/11).

Moreover, right now, the island already has various facilities and selfie spots, which are able to attract tourists.
