Jakarta Environment (LH) Department to add device used to monitor air quality, especially with particulate matter (PM) 2.5 to detect micron-sized fine particulate dust with size 2.5 micron or less.

Jakarta LH Department's Environmental Pollution Handling Section Head, Agung Pujo Winarno plans to provide two units of air quality monitor that can detect PM 2.5 micron dust and place it in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta and Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta.
"We will add 8 new devices in 2020. Our target is to have 25 devices that can detect PM 2.5 micron dust in 2022," he asserted, Tuesday (8/20).
This Week, Odd-Even Traffic System Expansion EvaluatedCurrently, his side only has 3 devices that can detect PM 2.5 micron dust purchased in 2018. Those are placed in Bundaran HI, Kelapa Gading, and Jagakarsa.
Meanwhile, his side also has 5 units of Fix Station Air Quality Monitoring System which are used to monitor air pollution index in Jakarta.
"We spread it to five Jakarta regions: in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta; Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta; Bundaran HI, Central Jakarta; Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta; and Jagakarsa, South Jakarta," he informed.
