9 Houses on Priok Toll Access Land Demolished

After had been postponed, the demolition of nine houses that stood on the land for Tanjung Priok Toll Section E2 Cilincing-Jampea project, are finally demolished by the ranks of North Jakarta Administration. Those nine houses are located in Kalibaru and Koja urban villages.

Those nine buildings are the last one demolished. So, in total there are 196 buildings demolished

North Jakarta Administration Secretary, Junaedi, said the execution against those nine buildings is a follow up of demolition warrant (SPB) which has been sent in early August.

“Those nine buildings are the last one demolished. So, in total there are 196 buildings demolished,” he stated, Wednesday (9/3).

In this demolition, as many as 700 joint personnel from Satpol PP and TNI/police are deployed. In addition, 20 vehicles belong to North Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department are also put on standby to transport residents’ belongings.

According to Junaedi, the demolition had been postponed for few days because his team had to coordinate first with local urban village and sub-district heads.

“The execution in both Kali Baru and Koja is expected to finish today,” he added.

Meanwhile, Rohlia (38), resident of Jalan Kali Baru Barat, RT 13/12, Kali Baru Urban Village, admitted that she is objected with the amount of compensation money given. That is why she had blocked the backhoe that was going to demolish her house.

“I’m still confused where to move,” she told.
