Tourism Activists Appreciate the Rise of Thousand Islands Tourism Sector

Hopefully this cooperation can move the economic sector of citizens

The resort and settlement tourism activists in Thousand Islands appreciated the rise of the tourism sector in the islands.

It can be seen from tour promotion held in and outside the islands, like tourism exhibition event in shopping centers throughout Greater Jakarta and Bandung.

Disparbud-Traveloka Provide Tourism Package Cooperation

Thousand Islands Resort Association Chairperson Raymond said, for two last years, the Thousand Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-agency continues to promote tourism by involving tour operators from the festival to the exhibition.

"From the latest data, the number of visitors keeps increasing, I hope it can rise the islands to be national and international destination site," he said, written in an official letter signed by all resort owners and copied to Jakarta Governor and Head of Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency, Thursday (9/26).

Similar statement also comes out from Raymond, a caretaker of Sepa Island, Margono. He said, the effects of various activities really feel.

He assessed, the number of visitors to Sepa Island keeps increasing after the promotion and exhibition themed "Ayo Seru-Seruan" to Thousand Islands.

"As a matter of fact, right now, many people already know and visit to Sepa Island," he told.

In the meantime, Pramuka Island Homestay Working Group (Pokja) Chairman Hasbullah admitted the more events will further increase tourist visits.

"This could be the momentum of the rise of residential island tourism, hopefully we can see more events here," he hoped.

Separately, Thousand Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-agency Head Cucu Ahmad Kurnia expressed his grateful for the appreciation given by the tourism service activists.

"Hopefully this cooperation can move the economic sector of citizens," he stated.
