Basuki: State Secretariat Has an Interest in Land Question, This is So Funny!

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama asks the president-elect Jokowi 'Jokowi' Widodo to hand over land assets held by the State Secretariat to Jakarta Provincial Government. Those assets are including Bung Karno Stadium (GBK) and Kemayoran area.

"Jokowi is a president now. Thus he must be brave with State Secretariat. Only just with signature, the problem will be immediately completed," he exclaimed, at City Hall, Tuesday (9/9).

The former Regent of East Belitung expressed this is a funny thing to see the state secretariat has an interest in land question. "This is so funny. And I have told Mr. Jokowi to hand over land question to Jakarta Provincial Government. Thus we will abolish all negative things," he revealed.

According to Basuki, land holding by the State Secretariat has grave implications. For instance, is management of parking lots in the GBK area by a group of thugs and used as extortion practice.

"We had taken part in the GBK's land but we could not do much because the land was deemed not our authority," he told.

Similar condition, Basuki furthered, also happened in land assets owned by State Secretariat in Kemayoran area, Central Jakarta. Jakarta government already had a plan to create new city in Kemayoran.

"We want to make new city in Kemayoran, and can penetrate into Ancol. But it cannot be realized due to its land is controlled by state secretariat. That's why, the land should be handed over to Jakarta government," he stressed.
