Chinese New Year, LRT Entertains Passengers with Barongsai Performance

Special in Chinese New Year, PT. LRT Jakarta holds lion dance (Barongsai) performance at Velodrome Station and Boulevard Utara Station to entertain the passengers.
It is held at 12 noon in Velodrome and 4 PM in Boulevard Utara
PT. LRT Jakarta Corporate Communication, Melisa Suciati mentioned, lion dance performance will be held until Sunday (1/26) in different session.
"Duration per performance is 45 minutes. It is held at 12 noon in Velodrome and 4 PM in Boulevard Utara," she informed, Saturday (1/25).

"Lion dance performers are from Bekasi. Some passengers who pass by the station even record or capture the moments with their mobile phones," she conveyed.
Based on observation on the field, a pair of Barongsai attracts passerby with their beautiful yet extreme dance following the typical Barongsai music that makes the atmosphere in station becomes more lively.
One of the passengers from Pulomas, Prayoga (29) admitted that he was quite excited with Barongsai performance held in LRT station. Thus he record it and post it in his social media.
"It is very lively and somehow it has different atmosphere. I want to go to Kelapa Gading, but when I get off from LRT, I see the Barongsai," he said.
