Rehabilitation of SDN Malaka 06 Stopped

It's been almost 15 years, the building rehabilitation of the state primary school (SDN) Malaka Jaya 06 Pagi, Duren sawit, East Jakarta, never been completed. This is due to the lack of budget which disbursed from Education Department since nine month ago. As a result, 242 students in the school were forced to study in SDN Malaka Jaya 04.

This school has been renovated since 1,5 years but still have not been completed. Furthermore, now the construction is stalled because of no budget

The headmaster of SDN Malaka Jaya 06 Pagi, Lilis Lisnawati, said, since the teaching and learning activities (KBM) were stopped, there are about 20 students who transferred to another school. Because of that, she hopes that the school should repairs could be completed immediately.

"This school has been renovated since 1,5 years but still have not been completed. Furthermore, now the construction is stalled because of no budget," said Lilis Lisnawati, Tuesday (9/30).

Classrooms Burned, SDN 11 Tebet Timur Students Relocated

Head of Infrastructure of Education Department, Sarjoko, said, the total renovation of SDN Malaka Jaya 06 Pagi can not continue this year due to lack of budget. Moreover, there are 24 school that can not continue the renovation process in this year. The plan, the total renovation will be continued in 2015.

"This year we only can continue to rehabilitate for 16 schools," said Sarjoko.
