MRT Jakarta Closes Two Stations to Support PSBB

In order to support Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation in Jakarta and its surrounding areas, PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) closed two other stations, Bendungan Hilir Station and Senayan Station on Monday (4/27).

PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Operation and Maintenance Director, Muhammad Effendi mentioned, station closure policy was carried out during the pandemic to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
"We still serve customers, but only on Lebak Bulus Grab Station, Fatmawati Station, Cipete Raya Station, Blok M BCA Station, Dukuh Atas BNI Station, and Bundaran HI," he explained on Monday (4/27) as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

From April 20, 2020, his side had formerly closed 5 stations namely, Haji Nawi Station, Blok A Station, ASEAN Station, Istora Mandiri Station, and Setiabudi Astra Station. During PSBB period, PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) also implements several policies such as:
1. Operational hour at 6 AM - 6 PM
2. 30-minute headway time
3. Passengers are limited up to 60 people per train car
4. Passengers required to wear face mask
5. Passengers should implement physical distancing and personal hygiene
Furthermore, MRT Jakarta stated its supports for Jakarta Government's policies in PSBB period.
"We fully support government's policies in appealing people to work, study, and perform prayer from home to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Let us prevent the spread of COVID-19 together by maintaining our health, personal hygiene, and limiting going outside only for urgent needs," he stated.
