Bapenda Optimizes Efforts to Collect PBB-P2 and BPHTB

Jakarta Regional Earnings Board (Bapenda) optimizes collecting urban and rural land and building tax (PBB-P2) and building and land acquisition tax (BPHTB).

Jakarta Regional Earnings Board (Bapenda)'s Revenue II Division Head, Yuspin mentioned, her side targeted PBB-P2 2020 revenue to reach Rp 11 trillion, while current realization per April 15 reached Rp 270.16 billion.

"For BPHTB collecting has reached Rp 781.12 billion from total target Rp 10.6 trillion this year," she mentioned, Monday (5/18).

City's Tax Realization Reaches Rp 8.23 Trillion

According to her, Bapenda has distributed Notice of Urban and Rural Land and Building Tax Payable (SPPT PBB-P2) 2020 to more than 2,000 taxpayers both individual and business entities.

Thus, Bapenda encourages taxpayers to fulfill their obligations by paying PBB-P2 2020 before the due date.

"Jakarta Government really needs this tax revenue since it will be used to fund the handling of COVID-19 pandemic. Those who have paid their taxes are heroes for Jakartans," she conveyed.

Bapenda also cooperates with various banks, e-commerce companies, such as Tokopedia to facilitate taxpayers to pay PBB-P2 2020.

"We have cooperate with urban village and sub-district apparatuses by socializing taxpayers to pay their PBB-P2 on time before the elimination of regional tax administration sanctions period ends on May 29.

Moreover, she continued, her side has applied online payment system for BPHTB in order to ease people who want to pay the tax.

"Taxpayers don't have to pay BPHTB at our service office, but only fill the form via e-bphtb system and pay the tax through DKI Bank," she explained.
