City's Tax Realization Reaches Rp 8.23 Trillion

Jakarta's tax realization from 13 local tax types which collected from January to May 4, 2020 has reached Rp 8.23 trillion or 29.42 percent of total this year's target Rp 50.17 trillion.

With this tax incentives amid of COVID-19, we expect the taxpayers can fulfill their tax obligations

Jakarta Regional Earnings Board (Bapenda)'s Revenue I Division Head, Yuspin conveyed, his side will keep optimizing local tax revenue in the midst COVID-19 pandemic.

"We try to optimize tax revenue by applying online payment system and eliminating regional tax administration sanctions to 11 types of tax to ease taxpayers, both individual and business owners, to pay their taxes," he explained, Monday (5/4).

According to him, the highest 2 types of local tax in this period are motor vehicle tax (PKB) with total Rp 2.47 trillion and vehicle-ownership transfer fee (BNN-KB) Rp 1.66 trillion.

"With this tax incentives amid of COVID-19, we expect the taxpayers can fulfill their tax obligations," he expressed.

He continued, Jakarta Bapenda has also distributed Notice of Urban and Rural Land and Building Tax Payable (SPPT PBB-P2) 2020 to the taxpayers, both individual and business owners, thus they can fulfill their tax obligations and get tax incentives in form of elimination of regional tax administration sanctions before May 29, 2020.

"We remind taxpayers, both individual and business owners, to use this opportunity to fulfill PBB-P2 payment obligation to get incentives where they don't have to pay administration sanctions and able to pay tax with same amount as last year," he stated.
