East Jakarta LH Collects 780.83 Tons of Waste on Eid Holiday

Waste volume that has been collected on Eid holiday from Sunday (5/24) to Monday (5/25) in East Jakarta reached 780.83 tons.

All waste we collected are immediately transported to Bantar Gebang TPST

East Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency's Cleanliness and B3 Waste Section Head, Wahyudi mentioned, that amount was collected from 10 sub-districts in East Jakarta. According to him, that number is still normal during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"On the night of Takbiran (Eid al-Fitr's eve), most areas are not crowded except in PIK Penggilingan because there's a bazaar in there. Thus we collect quite amount of waste from there," he said, Tuesday (5/26).

Environment Sub-agency to Deploy 220 Personnel During Takbiran Night

For each sub-districts, his side deployed around 5 garbage trucks to transport the waste during Eid holiday.
