Chandra M Hamzah, Nominated as Jakarta Govt's Lawyer Candidate

A number of names of prominent lawyer are ready to be recruited as the Jakarta Provincial Government's lawyer candidate. One of them, former Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Chandra M Hamzah.

 

Budget to Hire Lawyers Included in the 2015 RAPBD

Assistant to City Secretary for Administrative Affairs, Mara Oloan Siregar disclosed his party has consulted with the Government Procurement Regulatory Body (LKPP) related with lawyer hiring plan. "We'd met the LKPP. In that occasion, there was also Mr. Chandar and his staffs," he stated, City Hall, Monday (10/13).

He said his party will prepare a package to be auctioned and will be included in the LKPP. Later on, there would also be some other candidates included in it. "We are going to prepare a package through tender for lawyers who are now we need," he uttered.

Every lawyer is planned to be divided into per activity, like handle cases in state court, high court or overturning of judgement (kasasi).

"The duty is differentiated by type of case. The number of lawyer depends on the case at hand. Its number would be added if every case was more complicated," he said.

Besides facing lawsuit, they will also sued citizens, particularly for those who occupy land owned by Jakarta government.

As known, such policy was designed by Ahok. Considering, Jakarta government is often lost in the trial court.
