On the second week of this September, Jakarta Water Reservoir (SDA) Agency planned to start building 1,000 infiltration wells.

Jakarta SDA Agency Geology and Raw Water Conservation Section Head, Aditya Putra Brata stated, currently his side is still surveying several locations to build the infiltration wells.
"About 1,000 infiltration wells will be built in parallel. It is spread in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and West Jakarta. The survey is still in progress and hopefully we can start the construction on the second week of September," he explained, Friday (9/4).
Lancang Island Targets to Have 25 Infiltration Wells This MonthAccording to him, infiltration wells are not built to overcome flood in Jakarta, but also useful for replenishing groundwater thus it is maintained during dry season.
"Budget to build 1,000 infiltration wells is about Rp 5.5 billion. Each infiltration wells will have diameter 1 meter and depth maximum 3 meters," he informed.
