Jakarta Education Agency (Disdik) inaugurated 33 Early Childhood Education Programs (PAUDs) in all Jakarta regions. This inauguration was carried out virtually to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

We want to realize a full education with good quality for all

Total 33 public PAUDs inaugurated today, including 2 kindergartens in West Jakarta and Thousand Islands and 1 Similar PAUD Unit (SPS) at Hasyim Ashari Mosque area, West Jakarta.

As well as 10 SPSs in Thousand Islands, 4 SPSs in Central Jakarta, 4 SPSs in North Jakarta, 3 SPSs in East Jakarta, 1 SPS in South Jakarta, 3 Children Education Units (TPAs) in East Jakarta, 2 TPAs in North Jakarta, and 1 TPA in West Jakarta.

Jakarta Disdik Head, Nahdiana conveyed, in the future the next generation of this nation will advance the nation. Thus, through PAUDs inauguration, her side expected PAUDs to prepare children at early age to fit in with the community.

"We want to realize a full education with good quality for all. We want to give space or place to bring out the characters of our future generations as early as possible," she expressed, Monday (12/14).

Meanwhile, Jakarta PAUD Mother, Fery Farhati said, PAUD existence can nurture the next generation to be optimistic in the future. Currently, PAUDs in Jakarta are implementing distance learning (PJJ) which can help parents to be closer to their children.

"Let us prioritize our future generation's happiness by taking compulsory PAUD for a year before entering elementary school," she said.

She requested 3M (wearing mask, maintaining distance, and washing hands) movement to be implemented continuously during the pandemic period.

"Always remember to implement health protocols in order to end this pandemic as soon as possible," she mentioned.
