Ahok: Civil Servants, Go Do Exercise!

To prevent various kinds of diseases caused by obesity factor, Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ T Purnama asks all civil servants serving under Jakarta Provincial Government to conduct routine exercise. Besides would be healthy, they would also feel more confident and appropriate when wearing uniforms.

“Exercise, like futsal, is important as diet program as well as to protect us from diseases. If civil servants wearing uniform, their bellies often sticking out everywhere. Unless they wear batik, it looks neater,” said Ahok when opening futsal tournament trophy competed among reporters, in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Saturday (11/1).
Besides exercising, civil servants are also asked to conduct routine medical check-up at the doctor, especially to check their heart condition. To do this, they can go to the community health centers (puskesmas) and polyclinics belong to Jakarta Provincial Government. Moreover, Ahok also urges civil servants not to consume drugs or doping to maintain stamina because it can harm their health and lead to death.
Ahok Reminds the Importance of ReadingAbout the futsal tournament, it is participated by 16 teams including eight teams from Jakarta work units (SKPD). Besides teams consist of reporters, other teams are from Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Department, Jakarta Tax Service Department, Satpol PP, and Jakarta Governor/Vice Governor bodyguards.
