Palyja Takes Lot of Our Money, Ahok Says

Acting Jakarta Governor (Plt), Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, is more furious with the poor quality of the operator and the services of pure water of West Jakarta area, PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja). Therefore, the man who was familiarly called Ahok wants to immediately acquire PT Pajyja.

They (Palyja) has take a lot of our money (Jakarta), so (Palyja's stock) would be purchased

Two Regional-owned Enterprises (BUMD) owned by the city government, PT Jakarta Propertindo and PT Pembangunan Jaya will take over the ownership of stock of raw water supply company for the citizens in the capital.

"They (Palyja) has take a lot of our money (Jakarta), so (Palyja's stock) would be purchased," said Basuki at City Hall, Tuesday (11/14).

The 2015 UMP Determination Most Likely Miss Schedule

However, added Basuki, the takeover of the raw water supply company stock is still constrained by legal problems. "The problem of LBH Jakarta lawsuit in the Central Jakarta District Court has not been completed yet," he added.

Based on data from the Jakarta Community Coalition Refuse Privatization of Water, the city government, in this case PDAM Jaya, has accumulated losses of the state. In the span of years 1998-2012, state losses was Rp 1.18 billion.

If a contract agreement between PDAM Jaya with Palyja  is continued until 2022 or under the contract of 25 years, the city would loss Rp 18.2 trillion. Palyja stock ownership is still owned by Suez International by 51 percent.
