15 PMI Volunteers Sent to Assist Vaccination at Duren Sawit Health Center

Total 15 volunteers from East Jakarta PMI were deployed to assist COVID-19 vaccination at Duren Sawit Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) on Jl. H. Dogol, Pondok Bambu, Thursday (3/4).

We ask PMI to prepare volunteers to be administration staffs

East Jakarta PMI Public Relation and Communication Section Head, Agus Bastian mentioned, deployment of 15 volunteers was to follow up request from Puskesmas which sent on Monday (3/3). PMI volunteers were deployed to assist in administration section.

"Before working, our volunteers have taken rapid antigen test. Thank God, all results are negative thus they can immediately work at Puskesmas to help COVID-19 vaccination program for elderly," he explained.

South Jakarta is Targeting Vaccination for 198,000 Elderly People

Duren Sawit Sub-district Puskesmas Head, Rita Wedya Astuti conveyed, her side asked for assistance from PMI volunteers because it was feared number of human resources in Puskesmas would be insufficient to serve 4,000 elderly participants.

"We ask PMI to prepare volunteers to be administration staffs whose job is to input data on elderly who have been vaccinated," she said.

According to her, by inputting data on elderly who have been vaccinated, Health Ministry can immediately see the achievements of elderly vaccination program.

"Our target is to vaccinate 500 elderly people per day," she closed.
