SDA Normalizes Connecting Channel in Setiabudi

South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency normalized Setiabudi Satu connecting (PHB) channel on Jalan Setiabudi Selatan Raya RT 05/05, Karet Kuningan Urban Village.
Currently its progress has reached around 40 percent
Setiabudi Sub-district SDA Sub-agency Task Force Head, Yansori conveyed, normalization was carried out by dredging mud from the channel with length about 200 meters. His side deployed 12 personnel to normalize the channel since January 18.
"We normalize it because the mud is quite dense," he added, Friday (3/5).
Channel in Kampung Melayu Kecil DredgedMud was dredged manually using hoes and mini becho-typed heavy equipment until depth of 60 centimeters.
"Currently its progress has reached around 40 percent. If the weather is clear, we estimate it to finish in the next 3 months," he mentioned.
Channel normalization is expected to optimize channel's capacity thus it can minimize inundation in its surrounding area.
