January-February, 1,177 Shade Trees Pruned in West Jakarta

West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency personnel had pruned 1,177 shade trees from January to February 2021. In the same period, personnel had also evacuated 32 fallen trees and trees with broken branches.

We urge residents for not to take shelter or park their vehicles under the trees during heavy rain

West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Jauhar Arifin mentioned, his side trimmed 588 shade trees. In detail, 429 trees with light pruning, 125 trees with moderate pruning, and 34 trees with heavy pruning.

"In January, we also managed to evacuate three fallen trees," he conveyed, Thursday (3/11).

In February, his side pruned 589 trees, where 483 trees with light pruning, 87 trees with moderate pruning, and 19 trees with heavy pruning.

"In February, we managed to evacuate 29 fallen trees and trees with broken branches," he added.

His side pruned shade trees and trees that were prone to fall on Jl. Raya Panjang, Jl. Raya Kedoya, Palmerah, and Puri Kembangan.

"We urge residents for not to take shelter or park their vehicles under the trees during heavy rain," he asserted.
