Thousand Islands Holds Virtual Stunting Prevention Training

Thousand Islands Government held virtual stunting prevention training which participated by 129 PKK cadres, integrated health service post (Posyandu), Dasa Wisma, and children-friendly integrated public spaces (RPTRAs) administrators.

Through this training, we want to increase capacity and capability of cadres who serve residents in reducing stunting

Thousand Islands Regency Secretary, Erick P.Z. Lumbun said, stunting prevention should be optimized, for example by fulfilling children's nutrition since in the womb.

"Through this training, we want to increase capacity and capability of cadres who serve residents in reducing stunting," he mentioned, Monday (3/22).

On the other hand, Thousand Islands TP PKK Chairperson, Rita Susanti Junaedi conveyed, in this training, cadres gained extensive knowledge about socialization, education, and information about balanced nutrition for toddlers, pregnant and breastfeeding women, which are all related to stunting prevention.

"Our target is to increase cadres' capacity and understanding, thus stunting cases in Thousand Islands can be reduced to zero," she asserted.
