Bicycle Lane Development on Pramuka Island Begins

Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi, conducted a groundbreaking for the bicycle lane development on Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, on Friday (4/2).

Its construction was executed on the main road of Pramuka Island Main Pier, which is the entrance to Pramuka Island and the main road of the Thousand Islands.

According to Jakarta Governor's direction, he disclosed, every city and district would have a bicycle lane.

"The lane will surround Pramuka Island which covers 16 hectares. Besides being a means of transportation and sports, it is expected to further support the tourism sector in Thousand Islands," he expressed.

It would increase the length of the ecotourism bicycle lane that had previously been built by RW 04 residents along 1.2 kilometers by crossing several areas of mangrove forest on the shores of Pramuka Island.

"Eventually tourists on Pramuka Island can enjoy the atmosphere by the beach while cycling," he explained.

Therefore, he hoped that everything could run smoothly according to the initial plan and its existence could be a pilot for other settlement island.
