"When I first served here, there were 450 employees where 60 percent of them were near retirement age. We gave 118 people option for early retirement, thus there was an efficiency around Rp 700 million per month," she explained.
According to her, JXB also continues to expand its business outside of managing seven hotel units. JXB becomes a pioneer in new normal business by making Drive-in Concert and Drive-in Cinema concepts in Jakarta.
"Not only hotels, JXB also penetrates other tourism sectors. Recently, we have just entered Head of Agreement with Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and PT. Moda Integrasi Transjakarta Jabodetabek (MITJ) to revitalize and develop Kota Tua-Sunda Kelapa into a world-class tourist destination area," she stated.
She said that JXB was given the trust by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan to prepare accommodation
for health workers who are the forefront in handling COVID-19 in Jakarta. This year, JXB has accommodated 2,132 health workers who are staying in six hotel units."Health workers service program is a collaboration between JXB, Health Agency, Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, PT. Transjakarta and supported by private companies and communities through various donations," she added.
Meanwhile, JXB Administration and Finance Director, Zulfarshah mentioned, company's financial performance in 2019 was in deficit or loss up to Rp 21 billion.
"Thank God, in 2020 we have recorded profit Rp 2.7 billion. In the first semester of 2021, it also grows positively. We will continue to develop our business to be sustainable," he said.
Moreover, he continued, company has also succeeded in resolving arrears since 2017 for payment of Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) for business units.
"There are two business units that we have paid in total PBB-P2 arrears which amounted to Rp 6.2 billion," he mentioned.
