East Jakarta Has Intensified Fire Socialization in 4,692 Locations

In the past four months, it has been realized in 4,692 locations

East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency Head Muchtar Zakaria has noted that fire socialization has been conducted in 4,692 locations during January to April amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

According to him, the socialization was done in conjunction with education on health protocols to contain the spread of Covid-19.

"We hold socialization every morning and afternoon while riding a motorcycle and a car from one location to another using a megaphone," he said, Tuesday (5/4).

To optimize it, he was also collaborating with houses of worship and educational facility caretakers in several regions.

"We use jemput bola system in order to avoid the crowd," he expressed.

Prevention Division Head, Edi Parwoko added, after it was done, it would be followed by sticking sticker or pamphlet containing the danger of fire, including recommendations to maintain health protocols.

"In the past four months, it has been realized in 4,692 locations. The location details are in 1,135 houses of worship, 3,468 neighborhood road points and 89 educational places," he said.

To smoothen it, his party deployed 500 cars and 1,656 motorcycles plus 3,838 personnel.

As for locations used as a place for the socialization included Jalan Bumi Putera 4 RW 18 Cipinang Urban Village, Pulogadung, at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque on Jalan Raya Penggilingan PIK RT 04/10 Penggilingan Urban Village, Cakung, Taqwa Mosque in Cipinang Besar Selatan RW 02 Kampung Melayu Urban Village, Jatinegara, at RW 04 Office, Bambu Urban Village, etc.
