Jakarta Islamic Centre (JIC) Grand Mosque Secretariat, North Jakarta, has temporarily suspended worship activities in the mosque, including five daily prayers and Friday prayer, from Tuesday (6/22) to Monday (7/5).
It is taken as an effort to suppress recent increase in COVID-19 cases
JIC Grand Mosque Secretariat Head, Ahmad Juhandi said, temporary suspension of congregational worship activities refers to Jakarta Governor Decree No. 796/2021 on Extension of Micro-Scale Public Activity Restrictions (Micro PPKM).

"It is taken as an effort to suppress recent increase in COVID-19 cases. This policy is also taken after JIC Grand Mosque management held meeting and see the current pandemic situation in Jakarta," he explained, Wednesday (6/23).
