Grogol Reservoir Dredged to Optimize Its Capacity

West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency accelerated flood prevention program by dredging Grogol Reservoir on Jl. Muwardi, Grogol Petamburan Sub-district.
Currently the work has reached 50 percent
West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Drainage Maintenance Section Head, Wawan Kurniawan stated, Grogol Reservoir dredging work has reached 50 percent. He expected this dredging can optimize reservoir's capacity, especially in rainy season, thus it can minimize flooding and inundation.
"Grogol Reservoir dredging work has been carried out since January 12, 2021. Currently the work has reached 50 percent," he mentioned, Tuesday (8/10).
Grogol River Under Tanjung Duren Toll is Being DredgedHe informed, this reservoir covers an area of 17,387 square meters with depth of 2 meters. As of August 8, 2021, his side has transported 4,270 cubic meters mud from reservoir.
"We deploy 3 heavy equipment, namely water master, amphibious excavator, and long excavator for this dredging," he explained.
His side also deployed 8 West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency personnel to dredge the mud.
