Central Jakarta Social Sub-agency Controls 1,235 PPKS

In January-July 2021 period, Central Jakarta Social Sub-agency's Social Supervision and Control Service (P3S) personnel controlled 1,235 people with social welfare issues (PPKS).

They are netted in 8 sub-districts by involving 83 P3S personnel

Central Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Ngapuli Perangin Angin conveyed, there were three categories of PPKS netted during the period. Those were 292 abandoned people, 144 homeless people, 1 person with cart, and 1 disabled man.

"They are netted in 8 sub-districts by involving 83 P3S personnel," he mentioned, Tuesday (8/24).

Asih Asuh Operation, 23 PPKS Netted in Tanah Abang

According to him, P3S personnel were deployed to 16 monitoring points, including protocol roads, pedestrian bridges (JPOs), trading areas such as Tanah Abang Market and others.

This operation was carried out to follow up resident's complaints related to the existence of PPKS which often troubling.

"We monitor the area. If there are complaints from residents, we will immediately follow up the request on the same day by deploying P3S personnel to control PPKS," he added.

PPKS who were netted in the operation will be taken to Tanah Abang Sports Center (GOR) for swab test to ensure they were not exposed to COVID-19.

"If swab test result is negative, we will send them to social house for coaching," he said.
