I do this to show that we as legislators care about children's education

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Commission A Member, August Hamonangan, took his time to monitor face-to-face learning (PTM) at SDN Cikoko 01 Pagi, Jalan Cikoko Barat IV, Cikoko Urban Village, Pancoran, South Jakarta, on Monday (8/30).

On that occasion, he was checking the facilities and infrastructure at the school, starting from the completeness of body temperature measuring equipment, hand washing facilities, the use of masks for students and teachers until the provision of a capacity of 50 percent of students in attendance.

"I do this to show that we as legislators care about children's education," he expressed.

On the first day of PTM, he admitted, there were still many students who were a bit confused and stiff, so it took time and patience for the teachers during teaching.

"In overall, the school has succeeded in implementing health protocol rules and running PTM," he added.

SDN Cikoko 01 Pagi Principal, Heri Kosim expressed, PTM would be held three times a week, starting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Attendance was limited to 50 percent and divided into two waves. The first wave was at 7 AM to 9 AM and the second was at 10 AM to 12 PM.

"For today, there are 29 grade VI students present, with details first wave (15 students) and second (14 students)," he stated.

Then on Wednesday (9/1), grade V students would participate in the next PTM and grade IV students on Friday (9/3). While on next Monday, there would be grade I and III students. Certainly, it was conducted under strict health protocols, starting from the school gate to the classroom.

"The total number of students at SDN Cikoko 01 Pagi from grade I to grade VI is 288 people," he concluded.
