January-August, 6,334 Trees Pruned in West Jakarta

In January-August 2021, West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency had pruned 6,334 trees in 8 sub-districts.

Light pruning is done to 4,550 trees, medium pruning to 1,377 trees, heavy pruning to 407 trees

West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Jauhar Arifin conveyed, trees pruning conducted to maintain and arrange trees in green belt, environment, park, and other areas. Besides it was also done to anticipate broken branches or fallen trees when heavy rain falls with strong wind.

"From total 6,334 trees, light pruning is done to 4,550 trees, medium pruning to 1,377 trees, heavy pruning to 407 trees," he informed, Wednesday (9/22).

100 Trees Alongside Jalan Persahabatan Timur Pruned

According to him, trees pruning carried out every day by 8 teams in each sub-districts and 3 teams from sub-agency. Each team consist of 7 PJLP personnel and 1 operational fleet.

Pruning was carried out to cut branches of shady trees, old trees and trees prone to fall. His side also pruned trees that reported by community through CRM and JAKI application.

"In the same period, we also handle 188 fallen trees," he stated.
