South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency normalized channel along 250 meters with width 60 meters on Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu, Pejaten Timur Urban Village, Pasar Minggu.

Channel is dredged as deep as 30 centimeters by 10 SDA Sub-agency Unit personnel

South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Drainage Maintenance Section Head, Junjung stated, this channel was dredged to normalize its function since the silt was already dense. At some points, it even narrows to 30 centimeters that makes the channel cannot hold much water.

"Channel is dredged as deep as 30 centimeters by 10 SDA Sub-agency Unit personnel," he informed, Wednesday (9/29).

Besides dredging, his side also widened the narrowed channel at several points and removed permanent concrete casting then replaced it with easy-to-lift concrete covers.

"Channel normalization work has been carried out in stages since July 21. Current progress has reached around 80 percent. If it runs well, we estimate it to finish next month," he mentioned.
