RW 06 Munjul Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta will be projected to be grape agritourism area. Because almost all of local residents grow grapes in front of their houses. Even they also make residential roads greener by planting grapes along the road.

According to East Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency Acting Head (Plt), Ali Nurdin, people from outside Munjul Urban Village often visit Munjul to learn how to grow crops and see the harvest.
"Visually, RW 06 Munjul has already become agritourism area. It is just how we manage it to make it looks more attractive,"he said, Monday (10/25).

His side will coordinate with Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-district to map which locations that can be visited by tourists in Munjul Urban Village ass agritourism village. Because not only in RW 06, but residents in RW 04 and others also cultivate grapes in their houses.
"In order to create Munjul as Grape Village, we give them coaching. Moreover, Munjul is located near Cilangkap Agritourism area. So we hope all can work together and tourism route can be realized," he stated.
In East Jakarta, grape cultivation program was first started from Malakasari Urban Village, Duren Sawit, by Yatno Gondrong who is currently the supervisor of Jakarta Grape Community (KAJ). In Malakasari, settlement that was originally barren, now becomes cool since the area is planted with lot of grapes. Currently, his side educates residents in all areas about reforestation. This way, barren lands in the region can be planted with crops.
"The plus point of grapes is that grapes can be harvested within six months. It is amazing," he expressed.
East Jakarta Secretary, Fredy Setiawan hoped Agritourism area in Munjul can be realized as soon as possible.
His side will also coordinate with all related stakeholders and UKPDs. Because it need to involve all SKPD and UKPD in order to provide facilities and infrastructure.
"We must always participate from the beginning, from coaching and mentoring to marketing. We also encourage other parties to collaborate, not only government, but also private sector to improve other infrastructure and facilities," he stated.
Meanwhile, Munjul Urban Village Head, Sumarjono mentioned that there are a lot of grapes on residential roads in RW 04, 05 and 06 or in front of residents houses.
"In the near future, grape cultivation program will be carried out until near Munjul Reservoir. The area will be surrounded by grapes, become greener, and produce fruit with high economic value," he conveyed.
