50 Trees Planted in Ceger TPU and Bambu Apus TPU

In total, we have planted around 200 trees in four locations

As many as 50 trees have been planted in Ceger and Bambu Apus public cemeteries' parks, Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Friday (11/12). It is a "Jumat Menanam" activity (Friday Planting) promoted by the Jakarta Parks and Forests Agency.

It was led by Parks and Forests Agency Head, Suzi Marzitawati and was participated by 50 employees. There was also Agency Secretary, Romy Sudharta, East Jakarta Parks and City Forests Sub-agency Head, Christian Tamora Hutagalung and other officials.

61 Trees Planted in Jankes Munjul Green Open Space

She said, there were 35 trees planted in Ceger TPU and 15 trees in Bambu Apus TPU. Types of trees planted were Mahogany, Tabebuya and Spatodea with a diameter of 15-20 centimeters. They are the result of compensation from the person who applied for the tree felling permit. It is invested in every Jumat Menanam activity.

"This is the fourth location since the program was launched last October," she expressed.

According to her, the target locations for this activity are parks, green lines and urban forests, as well as TPU. It would continue to be intensified to encourage people to cultivate crops in order to make the environment greener and Jakarta's air clean.

"In total, we have planted around 200 trees in four locations," she stated.
