On that occasion, he appreciated the good cooperation between the Jakarta administration and the Sumedang administration, where both of them have signed a cooperation agreement (MoU) and are actively working on every point of the cooperation agreement.
"This is a joint work that becomes action and activity, starting from rice production for Jakarta and now the results of Sumedang SMEs are exhibited and marketed in Jakarta, at the center of the economy, thus people can benefit from these products," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
Anies Hopes DIPA and TKDD 2022 Submission Can Accelerate Economic Recovery and Growth in JakartaHe explained that both were very right in choosing Thamrin 10 as a location to showcase their MSME products. Because when the festival was held, Jakarta was in an effort to recover from the pandemic, so the hope was that it could move the economy.
"Thamrin 10 is a showcase for small and medium-sized businesses, both culinary and artistic creations for Jakartans to enjoy. It's full at night and before the pandemic per day the economic turnover here can reach around 180 million per day. And now the pandemic is relatively under control and we are starting to rise, it's very appropriate if Sumedang comes in to show off their products," he explained.
"Jakarta has all the elements that exist in this republic, therefore we are very grateful if there is a local government that facilitates thus the products can reach Jakarta and be displayed here. We're ready to help facilitate, I hope Pasar Jaya helps promote this product after the exhibition," he added.
By so, he hoped that Jakarta's contribution could be able to move the national economy, especially the MSME sector affected by the pandemic.
"We know micro and ultra-micro activities are taking the hardest hit during the pandemic. Hopefully, Jakarta will become a part of moving the national economy, when there are more transactions in Jakarta, so it will have an effect on producing areas thus the economic turnaround is much faster," he stated.
