PT Transjakarta Commits to Prosper its Workers Welfare

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is committed to prosper its workers. The commitment was marked with the signing of a collective labor agreement between PT Transjakarta and union workers at the "red plate" company.

The agreement stipulates rights and obligations and has a term with a period of 2021-2023. Its commitment is also formulated in the points of collective labor agreement.

"This is a new history for Transjakarta. We want to prosper workers in line with the improvement in public service performance," he expressed, Saturday (12/25).
He explained, the agreement that has been made since last year triggered various aspirations.
"This is very helpful to find out solution for company and workers," he explained.
According to him, the improvement of creativity, work productivity and company's business continuity are continuously made through a dynamic, harmonious, and balanced working relationship between company and workers.
"Peace and harmony at work can be realized if it is in accordance with the principles of industrial relations that are open, transparent and communicative," he explained.
Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency Head, Andri Yansyah uttered that the Jakarta administration appreciated all stakeholders who took part in the agreement.
It was based on legal basis and provisions of collective labor agreement negotiations, namely Law number 13/2003 on Manpower, Law number 21/2000 on Trade Unions/Labour Unions.
"It also refers to Employment Ministry Agreement number 28/2016 with the hope of bringing about positive change for transport workers," he added.
By so, it could create good working relationships between parties, including improve the quality of human resources for transportation workers through training and development, thus they experience increased welfare and also play a role in the nation's economic progress.
"They are very important in supporting economic growth, one of which is in maintaining the smooth flow of distribution for regional and international interests," he stated.
