New Year's Eve, KBT Area Closed Using MCB

To anticipate crowds during the year-end holiday period, the inspection road of the Duren Sawit East Flood Canal (KBT) area, East Jakarta has been started to be closed using movable concrete barriers (MCB).

In Pondok Bambu, there are two points of inspection road closure using concrete

The closed access roads include KBT south line, end of KBT in Cipinang Besar Selatan, Malakasari Sluice Gate and some other points.

Pondok Bambu Urban Village Head, Asianty Yasmuarsih said, the concrete was attached to avoid crowds from residents and street vendors (PKL), as the site is categorized as a crowd free night (CFN) area.

"In Pondok Bambu, there are two points of inspection road closure using concrete. They are in front of Cipinang Indah and Jalan Pahlawan Revolusi. Hopefully, residents comply with this policy," she said.

Duren Sawit Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Jariman added, as many as 90 personnel had been alerted at the location. They spread out at 12 points, starting from Cipinang Besar Selatan Bridge, Perintis Bridge, Cipinang Indah Bridge, Pondok Bambu Bridge, Menara Kembar Bridge.

Then Abadi Bridge, Duren Sawit Hospital Bridge, Kelurahan Bridge, Swadaya Bridge, Cilungup Bridge, MCD Bridge, and Malakasa Sari Sluice Gate Bridge.

East Bina Marga Sub-agency Head, Benhard Hutajulu explained, KBT area closure was carried out ahead of and after the year-end

"We're only adding to the closure of the KBT track location considering similar action had been done using concrete," he concluded.
