As many as 175 cars have been towed by Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department since September 8-December 2, 2014, because of parked in forbidden areas.

“Each offender is obligated to pay fine as much as Rp 500 thousand. Thus, a total of Rp 87.5 million is collected from the fine paid by those hundreds of offenders,” stated Head of Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Syamsuddin, Wednesday (12/3).

Besides towing cars, the officers also removed hundreds of tire valves of motorcycles and cars parked haphazardly.

“Until now, we managed to remove the tire valves of 855 motorcycles and 523 cars. In addition, Central Jakarta Resort Police Traffic Unit also made dossiers to 42 motorcycles and 66 cars,” told Syamsuddin.
