166 School Buses Serve 20 Regular Routes and 13 Zoning Routes

Total 16 school buses were deployed to serve students who have started 100 percent face-to-face learning (PTM). Those buses served 20 regular routes and 13 zoning routes.

On average, around 16,000 students take school bus every day

Jakarta Transportation Agency's School Transportation Management Unit (UPAS) head, Ali Murthadho mentioned, medium buses were deployed to serve regular routes, while elf-type for zoning routes.

"On average, around 16,000 students take school bus every day since January 3, 2022," he informed, Friday (1/7).

He explained that school bus operation was divided to two shifts following school hours where 05:30-07:00 for first shift and 11:00-16:00 for second shift.

"We have prepared 33 routes that provide free transportation service for students throughout Jakarta who are participating in PTM," he said.

Currently, school buses are operating with 100 percent capacity and implementing strict health protocols.

According to him, school bus service gives benefits and advantages such as reducing transportation cost, preventing congestion, preventing brawls, increasing unity and equality.

"We hope there will be more students who take school bus and give their trust in school bus service," he expressed.
