The Perumda Pasar Jaya has been offering cheap cooking oil at Rp 14,000 in all managed food outlets. It is implemented in line with the central government's move to impose one-price cooking oil in supermarkets, traditional markets, and marketplaces.

Gatra Vaganza, General Manager and Public Relations of Perumda Pasar Jaya said, the brands of cooking oil sold include Garing, Filma, Tropical, Food Station, and Gurih. The public can directly come to all food outlets managed by Pasar Jaya to buy the cooking oil.

"To prevent panic buying, each buyer can only buy two liters of cooking oil at a price of Rp. 28,000 per two liters. We want Jakarta residents to easily and cheaply get cooking oil at a low price," he expressed, Monday (1/24).

According to him, this policy is in accordance with the retail price recommended by the government. The price itself had fallen, where on the previous day it was observed that the price of cooking oil per two liters with Garing brand was Rp 37,900 and Tropical was sold for Rp 40,000.

"Our food outlets are open from 9 AM to 5 PM every day. Hope the people who come continue to comply with health protocols while shopping," he stated.

As for the information, it is regulated in the Trade Minister Regulation number 03/2022 on Provision of Packaged Cooking Oil for Community Needs in the Financing Framework by the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS). It will take effect on January 19, 2022, at 00.01 AM.
