Two Public Housings Prepared as Controlled Isolation Locations

The Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area (PRKP) Agency has prepared 2 public housings, namely Daan Mogot Public Housing in West Jakarta and Pulogebang-Penggilingan Public Housing in East Jakarta, as controlled isolation locations for COVID-19 patients.

In total, there are 1,044 residential units prepared for controlled isolation locations

Jakarta PRKP Agency Head, Sarjoko said, those two public housings were prepared to anticipate if the hospital's capacity was no longer able to accommodate COVID-19 patients.

The controlled isolation locations for COVID-19 patients in Daan Mogot Public Housing would be centered in towers 6 and 7, while in Pulogebang-Penggilingan Public Housing would be centered in towers C4, C5, and C6.

"In total, there are 1,044 residential units prepared for controlled isolation locations, consisting of 522 units in Daan Mogot Public Housing and 522 units in Pulogebang-Penggilingan Public Housing," he informed, Wednesday (2/9).

Each unit has two rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a laundry room, and a living room.

Previously, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) had held meetings and reviews with the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) and the Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes).

Those public housings will be ready to house COVID-19 patients soon, especially for asymptomatic COVID-19 patients (OTG) and patients with mild symptoms.

"The point is that both public housings are ready to accommodate patients who will undergo controlled isolation," he stated.
